Version 1.6 is a major update to MemClip and all users are encouraged to upgrade to this version as soon as possible. This version has a critical update to integrate with Evernote. More specifically, Evernote will soon be migrating from username/password style authentication to OAuth and will be deprecating the use of the old style of authentication starting Nov, 2012. So if you don’t upgrade MemClip to version 1.6 , you will not be able to send your web clips to Evernote after the migration! Of course, local-only web clipping will continue to work but will all the cool new stuff we’ve added , you’d want to upgrade regardless.
Here are the list of the key updates – almost all of them have been feature requests by our loyal users!
1. Selected clipping feature now allows clipping of selected text and image content
2. Ability to create Evernote Notebooks in Direct Clip To Evernote option
3. Ability to email and AirPrint local clips
4. Evernote Notebooks in pre-clipping view are listed in alphabetical order with the default Notebook selected
5. Improved handling of clipping whole pages
